Silambam Houston, a pioneer in promoting Indian classical arts in the greater Houston area, has begun construction on the Silambam Houston Cultural Arts Center – a performing arts center and arts studio space serving the South Houston / Pearland / Friendswood / Clearlake area.
This venue will house the activities of the following:
Silambam Houston Arts Academy
Focused on providing quality, affordable, Indian classical arts education and outreach
Silambam Houston Dance Company
The Silambam Houston Dance Company aims to strengthen the reach and scope of classical Indian dance among global audiences.
The new facility will allow Silambam to build additional capacity for their Indian classical arts education and outreach programs. The innovative design of the facility will allow it to easily convert from studio space to a black-box style performance space – a wonderful addition to the South Houston / Pearland / Friendswood / Clearlake area.
The venue will also be available to house external performances and arts classes in the community.
